Ashley started his radio career off working in community radio in Alice Springs and then moved to the Gold Coast and volunteered with several community radio stations on the coast. When he was offered the opportunity to jump to commercial radio he grabbed it with both hands and Rebel FM has been his home for the past 20 years. After trying many different jobs, he has found his niche with Rebel. Ash’s philosophy about working in radio is “if you go to work and do something you enjoy, then is that really work?”

Nearly 11 years ago, Ashley discovered his passion for motorcycles and thinks that there is no better feeling that putting all your thoughts on hold and focusing on the ride. Ash combined his love of motorcycles with his desire to help local charities and started the Rebel FM Moustache Ride over 5 years ago to highlight men’s health issues, particularly mental illness.

He loves travel and can’t wait to get overseas, but really loves the adventure of discovering his own backyard. Just recently he moved to a hinterland property and installed his own plunge pool in the deck. When he is not at home, he is out in his SUZUKI Vitara discovering all those wonderful places in that bigger backyard – Australia!
